Genna is definitely one of the most transparent horse people I know in the horse world. No hidden fees or surprises going on with my horse. I brought in my 2 year old filly to board at Brookside and Genna made a point to do as much research as she could to support healthy growth which included bringing in a new type of feed and changing turnout schedules so the filly could romp outside all day. My daughter has been riding with Genna for over 2 years now. Genna is a calm, fun, patient trainer that really knows how to build confidence in her riders. She has plenty of horses to go around for all types of riders, even for beginner moms! Her shows are fun and well organized. She's always available and returns calls and emails quickly. My daughter and I have been riding at Brookside Show Stable for about 8 months. I cannot recommend Genna and her staff highly enough. She is knowledgeable, great with people, amazing with her horses and ponies, and a pleasure to have as an instructor. She knows how to push you, but just enough with plenty of coaching and encouragement. She is patient and able to explain things so well. Everyone we have met at the barn is friendly and helpful. I brought my boy Stevie to Brookside on the personal recommendation of a friend. We put him on partial training board and the difference between us in two months is remarkable. Right now Genna does two training rides on him a week and I lesson on him twice a week and we have gone from me being nervous to jump a cross-rail on him to completing an eight fence course on him with no hesitation. As a rider, I feel more confident, capable and I see improvement every ride. As a horse owner, I know Stevie is getting everything he needs and he not only looks, but feels, wonderful. I have been working with horses for over twenty years and Genna is one of the most organized and thorough horsepeople I have ever come across.
