Brookside Show Stables is proud to offer an Interscholastic Equestrian Association (IEA) competition team in Partnership with Metropolitan Equestrian, a nationally recognized nonprofit dedicated to expanding access to equestrian sport, education, and competitive opportunities. Through this partnership, riders benefit from Brookside’s premier training environment combined with Metropolitan Equestrian’s structured team management, competition access, and proven pathway to collegiate riding.
What is IEA?
A national competitive riding program for students in grades 4–12 that allows riders to compete without owning or leasing a horse.
IEA is designed to make equestrian sport more accessible, affordable, and team-oriented.
Key features of IEA competition:

Riders compete on random assigned horses (level playing field)

No horse ownership or lease required

Emphasis on horsemanship, adaptability, and teamwork

Structured competition season (September–April)
